I build AI systems that try not to embarrass themselves. Currently at Amazon making robots chat without sounding like they've been lobotomized by corporate training data. The goal? Emotionally intelligent conversations that don't make people want to throw their robot out the window.
Been doing this for 15 years now: distributed systems, data platforms, agentic AI, the whole nine yards. I've built everything from multi-agent orchestration frameworks to RAG architectures. These days I spend most of my time on platform work and championing better engineering practices at scale.
Outside of work, I'm a builder at heart. Someone who believes great engineering needs equal parts creative exploration and methodical deep dives. I read a lot of history, philosophy, and research to keep the creative side alive. For unwinding, there's golf (slightly pretentious, mostly meditative). Grew up playing tennis, badminton, and cricket, but golf's easier to play solo these days. Evening swims help me decompress, even if I'm not particularly good at it. Music is a constant companion, and you'll probably see a recommendations section here eventually.
